After years of serving the craft brewing industry with premium, hand-selected hops, Hop Head Farms has discontinued operations. The Southwest Michigan-based operation will sell its complete equipment lineup at a public auction on April 29 at 10 a.m. The auction will take place at 2993 E Lemon Creek Rd, Berrien Springs and is open to the public, with both in-person and online bidding available.

Hop Head Farms was known for supplying high-quality hops to craft brewers across the United States and internationally, while also operating farms in SW Michigan. The company played a role in supporting the region’s growing reputation within the craft beer industry.

Conducted by Miedema Auctioneering, the event offers farmers, brewers, and local buyers the opportunity to purchase a wide range of well-maintained agricultural and specialized hop-production equipment.

Auction highlights include tractors and field equipment, tucks and trailers, hop equipment, harvesting and processing equipment, as well as sprayers support equipment.

“This is not your typical farm auction,” said Chuck Ranney, VP of Miedema Auctioneering. “It’s a unique opportunity to purchase specialized hop equipment that rarely becomes available, along with a strong lineup of traditional agricultural equipment.”
