Founders Brewing Co. and WGVU Public Media will host a live Jazz Night on May 2 at 7 p.m. at the Founders Taproom, 235 Cesar E. Chavez Ave SW. The event launches a partnership supporting local public media.
The evening will feature performances by Candid Antics and the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra.
The event coincides with Public Media Giving Days, held May 1–2, which celebrates the impact of community-supported public media. As part of the partnership, Founders has introduced “Viewers Like Brew,” a German-style Helles created specifically for the collaboration.
For the duration of the partnership through the end of June, $1 from every pour of “Viewers Like Brew” will be donated directly to WGVU. Guests attending the event will also have the opportunity to make a suggested $5 donation, either in cash or added to their tab.
The event offers community members a chance to enjoy live music while supporting local public media through a shared experience.
