Paws With A Cause (PAWS), a national nonprofit that provides custom-trained assistance dogs, will host two community events on Saturday, September 20, at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids. The organization will debut its inaugural PAWS in the Park 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, followed by the fifth annual Retriever Fever, a free, dog-friendly public event. Proceeds from the 5K will support PAWS programs that match assistance and facility dogs with individuals and organizations across the country.

“Retriever Fever is more than a party—it makes our mission possible,” said Zoey Goehring, Corporate Relations & Events Specialist at Paws With A Cause. “Every race registration, every vendor booth, every donation helps us meet the growing need for assistance and facility dogs.”
