Affinity Mentoring, a Grand Rapids-based nonprofit that partners with businesses, organizations, and schools to match Kindergarten through 8th-grade students with mentors, has hired Lauren Enos as its new Program and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director.

STEM Greenhouse, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing STEM proficiency among vulnerable students, has appointed four new board members.

The second annual event is a part of the foundation’s volunteer-led Black Legacy Fund. This community leadership initiative builds on the legacy of giving in Black communities in greater Grand Rapids.

Traditionally, foster puppies are placed in a single home for 14-15 months, but new co-raising and start/finish options allow raisers to host a puppy for a shorter time or during a specific time of year that works for them.
