The West Michigan Truck Show will return to the Hudsonville Community Fairgrounds, , 5235 Park Ave., on June 12-13. “What started as a way to support a truck driver during his battle with cancer has grown into an event that brings trucking professionals, families, and community members together to make a difference,” said Reid Stroven, Board Member of West Michigan Truck Show. “We’re proud to support Michigan veterans this year while showcasing the generosity, hard work, and sense of community that is at the heart of the trucking industry.”
The West Michigan Truck Show was founded in 2020 when a group of trucking industry professionals organized a local truck show to help cover medical expenses for fellow driver Luke “Cool Hand” Tanis during his battle with cancer. What began as a one-time fundraiser quickly grew into an annual event after receiving overwhelming community support.
Following Tanis’ passing in 2022, organizers continued the event in his honor. His family remains actively involved, and his truck, “Miss Katie,” continues to be displayed at the show each year. For more information, visit https://westmichigantruckshow.com.
