Construction company announces leadership transitions

As EV Construction begins its 81st year in business, the company has made several key leadership transitions. With the retirement of longtime Chief Operating Officer (COO) Tony Roussey, Joe Novakoski has been promoted to COO, Brett Lesiewicz to Vice President of Operations, and C.J. MacKenzie to Vice President of Florida Operations.

“Tony’s leadership has been an incredible gift to EV Construction,” said Mike Novakoski, President and CEO, EV Construction. “His wisdom, care for people, and commitment to excellence helped position our company for continued success. We wish Tony and his wife, Carolyn, nothing but health, happiness, and adventure in this next chapter.”

Joe Novakoski steps into the role of COO after more than 30 years with EV Construction, most recently serving as Vice President of Operations.

Brett Lesiewicz has been promoted to Vice President of Operations after serving as Vice President of Project Management since 2022. He joined EV in 2012 as an Assistant Project Manager.

In EV’s growing Southwest Florida office, C.J. MacKenzie has been promoted to Vice President of Florida Operations and appointed to the company’s Executive Committee. MacKenzie has been with EV for three years and brings 16 years of industry experience. Prior to relocating to Florida, he served as EV’s Director of Preconstruction.

“These leadership transitions reflect the strength and depth of our executive team,” Novakoski said. “They also highlight the many talented leaders across our organization who stepped up throughout 2025. Because of their growth and dedication, EV Construction is well-positioned for the future.”
