Downtown announces 2025 holiday events

The holiday season in Downtown Holland officially begins November 14, marking the start of a festive lineup of shopping events and family-friendly celebrations. The season opens with the return of the annual Shop ‘Til You Drop late-night savings event from 6 to 9 p.m., followed by weeks of holiday-themed activities and promotions throughout November and December.

“There is something truly special about the holiday season in Downtown Holland,” said Kara de Alvare, Downtown Holland Marketing Coordinator. “It’s often described as a town straight out of a Hallmark movie, and I couldn’t agree more. We invite everyone to stroll our beautifully decorated, heated streets and experience the magic of the holidays all season long.”

Downtown Holland’s 2025 holiday lineup includes Shop ‘Til You Drop (Nov. 14), the Holiday Open House (Nov. 22), a Holiday Coloring Contest (Nov. 28–Dec. 23), Small Business Saturday (Nov. 29), the Parade of Lights (Dec. 2), Strolling Santa Saturdays (Dec. 6, 13, and 20), and the Shopping Jam (Dec. 13). The Holland Farmers Market will also continue Wednesdays and Saturdays through December 21, alongside the festive Kerstmarkt outdoor market.

Additional seasonal highlights include the inaugural Dutch Winterfest by Tulip Time, Magic at the Mill at Windmill Island Gardens, holiday concerts, and the opening of the Holland Ice Park. For full event details, visit downtownholland.com or call 616-796-1210.
