Downtown Holland’s popular Street Performer Series returns Thursday, June 12, with free live entertainment along 8th Street from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The weekly series runs through August 14 and features more than 75 rotating performers throughout the summer.

Each Thursday evening, approximately 25 performers will take to the streets, offering music, juggling, balloon twisting, caricature drawing, breakdancing, henna art, and more. All performances are free to the public; however, tipping is encouraged.

The 2025 series is sponsored by Gentex Corporation with additional support from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council.

“Gentex is proud to once again be a title sponsor of this year’s Street Performers Series,” said Seth Bushouse, Vice President of Human Resources, Gentex Corporation. “This event is just one example of what makes Downtown Holland such a special place to visit during the summer and the performers are always so impressive.”

Gentex staff will be on-site during the June 12 kickoff with a prize wheel and giveaways for all ages. Visitors can stop by the Gentex table located outside GDK Park, on 8th Street between Central and River Avenues, during the event to participate and learn more about the company’s employment opportunities.

To accommodate attendees, 8th Street will be closed to through traffic and parking from Columbia Avenue to River Avenue from 6 to 9 p.m. each Thursday. Free public parking is available in surface lots on 7th and 9th Streets, in the nearby parking decks, and at the Holland Civic Center Place.

The Downtown Holland Social District will also be active during the event, allowing adults 21 and older to purchase beverages from participating establishments and enjoy them while strolling through the district.
