Community leaders, project partners, and residents gathered on November 25 to celebrate the official opening of the sales office for The Averden, Ada’s first-ever 60+ retirement living community from Holland Home. Located at 7159 Headley St SE, Suite A in Ada, the new sales office will serve as the central hub for future residents to explore floor plans for the community’s Villas, Flats, and Enclaves, meet with sales counselors, and learn more about the lifestyle and lifecare offerings that will define The Averden.

“Today marks an important step forward in extending the Holland Home promise to a new community,” said Troy Vugteveen, President & CEO of Trillium Living. “For more than 130 years, Holland Home has been committed to delivering exceptional care, meaningful connections, and a sense of belonging for older adults. We’re excited to open our sales office and begin welcoming future residents to a vibrant community built on trust, compassion, and lifelong support.”

Kim Rantala, Executive Director of the Ada Business Association, noted the project’s significant impact on the township.

“Ada continues to grow because of thoughtful investments that strengthen our community’s fabric. The Averden reflects that spirit, and we’re proud to welcome Holland Home and The Averden team into our business community. We look forward to seeing them become an active and valued part of Ada.”

The Averden will be built near 6501 Fulton St E on land gifted in 1998 by longtime Ada resident and builder Dan Vos, who envisioned the property serving the needs of Ada’s older adults. The $215-million project is expected to break ground in early 2027. Construction will be a joint venture between EV Construction and Dan Vos Construction, with construction of the Villas by BDR Inc. and architectural design led by Integrated Architecture.

The sales office is now open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with appointments available upon request. To learn more, visit https://averdenofada.org/.
