Brewery asks community to name its new event space

Brewery Vivant is asking the community to help put the finishing touch on its new event space by choosing its name. After weeks of collecting suggestions from customers, neighbors and fans, Brewery Vivant has narrowed the submissions to seven finalists. Community voting is now open to select the name that will represent the new gathering space at Vivant’s historic East Hills campus.
The finalists are The Roost, The Abbey, The Brew House, East Hills Hall or Lake Street Hall, and Maison Vivant.
“Brewery Vivant has always had a strong connection to this neighborhood and the people who gather here, so involving the community in naming this space felt like a natural fit,” said Jason Spaulding, Owner and Founder of Brewery Vivant. “We received a great mix of thoughtful, creative and fun suggestions, and each of the finalists captures something different about Vivant and what we hope this new space will become.”
The naming campaign comes as Brewery Vivant continues transforming approximately 3,500 square feet of former brewing and production space at 925 Cherry St. SE into a dedicated venue for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, nonprofit events, community celebrations and other private events.
The new venue will accommodate up to 150 guests and feature a dedicated bar, new flooring and restrooms, custom wood finishes, and restored storefront openings along Lake Drive. The space will operate independently from the brewery’s restaurant while remaining connected to the larger Vivant campus.
“We’ve heard for years from people who want to celebrate important moments at Vivant, whether that’s a wedding, company gathering, fundraiser, or family celebration,” Spaulding said. “This space gives us the opportunity to say yes to more of those events while creating an experience specifically designed for them. Having the community help choose the name makes them part of the process from the beginning.”
The project was designed by Brian Swem, Founder of Scafold, with an emphasis on maintaining the historic character and distinctive atmosphere that have defined Brewery Vivant since it opened in East Hills in 2010.
