Geometric sound and light chamber offers unique wellness experience

Inside an East Hills wellness studio, a geometric chamber invites guests to recline in a zero-gravity chair, surrounded by carefully selected music and colored light. Located at 924 Cherry St SE B in Grand Rapids, Harmonic Egg & Wellness GR is a wellness studio founded by Courtney Yarch in late 2024. The immersive relaxation experience combines sound, light, and the chamber’s distinctive geometric environment, giving guests a chance to disconnect from everyday demands and make space for rest.
“We spend so much time responding to what everyone else needs,” Yarch said. “I wanted to create a place where people can disconnect from that noise and simply experience a moment of calm.”
Each visit begins with a conversation about the guest’s goals before they enter the Harmonic Egg, recline in a zero-gravity chair, and experience a session featuring music and selected colors. Guests also have time to rest afterward.
The Harmonic Egg’s sculptural design and immersive environment make it a striking visual experience, but Yarch emphasizes that guests need no particular beliefs or background to participate. The service is presented as a wellness experience, not a medical treatment or substitute for professional care.
“Some visitors are curious and some are skeptical,” Yarch said. “I welcome both. You can come in, see the space, experience a session and decide what it means for you.”
Yarch, 42, opened Harmonic Egg & Wellness GR after approximately two decades working in fitness and wellness. She aimed to create a welcoming place where people navigating demanding schedules, stress, and life transitions could make space for rest.
Beyond Harmonic Egg sessions, the studio connects guests with additional wellness offerings and
independent practitioners. Yarch also hosts networking opportunities for holistic health professionals and
participates in local community and nonprofit initiatives.
“I want this space to be about more than appointments,” Yarch said. “Building relationships with other practitioners and supporting the community are important parts of why I opened it.”
