West Michigan Trails (WMT) will host its Fall Trail Summit on October 22, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the MLK Community Center, 900 Fuller Ave. SE, in Grand Rapids. The event will bring together community leaders, trail professionals, and trail users from across the organization’s 18-county region to discuss shared-trail safety and the opportunities and challenges shaping West Michigan’s trail network.

As conversations grow around e-bikes, e-motos, and trail etiquette, the summit will feature a panel discussion on micromobility and trail safety, along with updates on West Michigan Trails Regional Master Plan priorities and the Regional Wayfinding Project.

“Our Fall Trail Summit is a great opportunity to bring together all the key players involved in shaping West Michigan’s trail network,” said John Morrison, Executive Director, West Michigan Trails. “We’re excited to create space for meaningful conversations about the future of our trails. This work takes a lot of collaboration, and the summit is a chance to learn from one another, be in a room all together at once, and keep that work moving forward.”

Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the planning, partnerships, and collaborative efforts that keep regional trail projects moving forward. The summit will also offer an opportunity to join conversations about the future of West Michigan’s trails.

Registration is available at wmtrails.org/events.
