The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BAMF Health, Anthony Chang, Ph.D., has joined the Hope Network Board of Trustees, transitioning from his role on the Hope Network Foundation Board.
BAMF Health is an advanced theranostics and precision medicine organization headquartered in Grand Rapids, focused on expanding access to molecular imaging and targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies.
“Dr. Chang brings an extraordinary blend of scientific expertise, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership,” said Bob Von Kaenel, CEO of Hope Network. “His experience building solutions that expand access to advanced healthcare aligns closely with Hope Network’s mission to help people overcome challenges and achieve their highest level of independence. We’re grateful for his continued service and thrilled to welcome him to the Board of Trustees.”
Chang is widely recognized for advancing theranostics and precision medicine and for his contributions as a scientist, researcher, and educator. He has more than two decades of experience across healthcare innovation, research, and translational imaging.
“Hope Network and BAMF Health are aligned by a shared belief: access to care changes lives,” he said. “As BAMF Health expands across Michigan, I want to continue to align with organizations like Hope Network to break down barriers and ensure individuals and families get the care, dignity, and opportunity they deserve, no matter where they live. I look forward to doing that at the Trustee level.”
His background includes advanced training in biomedical engineering and medical physics, and he earned his Ph.D. in Medical Physics. He holds degrees from UT Health San Antonio, Vanderbilt University, Yale University, and Chang Gung University in Taiwan. Before founding BAMF Health, he served in multiple leadership roles at Van Andel Institute, including Head of the Laboratory of Translational Imaging and Founding Director of the Small Animal Imaging Facility.
