Hotels offering holiday and New Year's Eve events
Amway Grand Plaza's Pantlind Lobby
A full slate of holiday and New Year's Eve events has been announced for the Amway Grand Plaza and JW Marriott Grand Rapids, offering family-friendly entertainment, upscale dinners, and late-night celebrations to close out 2025.
A family-friendly event, Tidings & Tiaras: A Christmas Evening with the Princesses, will take place on December 19 at 5:30 p.m. in the International Ballroom at the JW Marriott. In partnership with Olivia Grace & Company, the event features live musical performances by princess characters in holiday gowns, interactive activities, meet-and-greets, and a plated, chef-prepared dinner.
General admission tickets are $107 and include the show and meal. VIP tickets are $160 and include prime seating, complimentary parking, a tiara, and a post-show princess group photo. Additional items such as tiaras, autograph books, portraits, and specialty drinks will be available for purchase.
Guests can also visit the Amway Grand Plaza's Pantlind Lobby for a free holiday photo opportunity with two towering Charlie Brown–themed gingerbread displays standing 10 and 11 feet tall. The sculptures, made from hundreds of pounds of candy, icing, and sugar, are located under the hotel's iconic gold-leaf ceiling.
For those looking to ring in 2026 in style, several New Year's Eve options are available:
Ballroom Bashes return to both hotels on December 31, with DJs, dancing, and festive lighting across multiple ballrooms. General admission tickets are $70 and include access to both venues. Private VIP sections at Amway Grand Plaza range from $1,500 for eight guests to $4,245 for 20 guests and include valet parking, bottle service, reserved seating, snacks, and personal cocktail service.
