Nick Saban featured in leadership simulcast coming to Grand Rapids

Calvin University and Calvin Theological Seminary will serve as an official simulcast host site for the 2025 Global Leadership Summit. The summit will be broadcast live August 7–8 from the Chicagoland area to the Covenant Fine Arts Center, 3201 Burton St. SE in Grand Rapids, and to hundreds of locations around the world.

The two-day event, co-hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Paula Faris, reaches more than 350,000 participants annually. This year’s theme, “Lead Where You Are,” invites individuals from all sectors, including business, education, ministry, and nonprofits, to grow their influence and lead with purpose.

Attendees at the Grand Rapids simulcast will receive the same live-streamed content as those attending in person, featuring insights from 15 global speakers on leadership, innovation, resilience, and digital communication.

Featured speakers include:

  • Nick Saban, Former Head Football Coach, University of Alabama

  • Craig Groeschel, Founding and Senior Pastor, Life.Church

  • Thasunda Brown Duckett, President and CEO, TIAA; named one of TIME100’s Most Influential People

  • Christine Caine, Founder, A21 Campaign & Propel Women

  • Jon Acuff, Bestselling author of Soundtracks

A special networking event will take place on Friday, August 8, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at the Calvin Seminary Student Center. Attendees can enjoy complimentary coffee, espresso, and pastries from local bakeries. Shuttle service will be available between the seminary and the Prince Conference Center throughout the morning.

The Global Leadership Summit will be translated into more than 40 languages and presented in over 100 countries, including 250 prisons and community organizations, expanding its reach to underserved communities.
