Nonprofit launches inaugural brunch fundraiser
Kids' Food Basket (KFB) invites the community to its first annual Brunch on Barclay, a vibrant brunch and fundraising event, on Friday, September 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its new home at 2330 Barclay St., Muskegon, MI 49441.
This special event marks the organization's deepening commitment to the Muskegon community. Guests will enjoy a strolling brunch featuring local, sustainable ingredients and prepared by some of Muskegon's most beloved culinary talents, including Culinary Institute of Muskegon, Pine Street Cafe, Louie's Wood Fired Bar + Grill, Stoney Ridge Winery, The Early Owl, and Dr. Rolf's Barbeque.
"Brunch on Barclay is a celebration of the power of good food creating change," said Tamara VanderArk-Potter, Vice President of Philanthropy, Kids' Food Basket. "We are honored to open the doors at Barclay St., welcoming the Muskegon community into our new home for a day of celebration, fellowship, and nourishment for all."
Guests will hear about KFB's expanding work in Muskegon from KFB's team, including President and Founding CEO Bridget Clark Whitney, and learn about additional ways to get involved through volunteerism, philanthropy, and advocacy. The event will also feature opportunities to meet local community and business leaders.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available for this event. All proceeds from Brunch on Barclay support Kids' Food Basket's efforts to increase access to healthy food, provide nutrition education, and promote agricultural initiatives for West Michigan children.
