The Bluestocking Bookshop is reopening in a brand-new location on August 30. The new shop at 12330 James Street, Suite A110, in Holland will mark the occasion with a weekend of events designed to celebrate community, creativity, and connection.

The new location will offer an expanded community space, a dedicated fragrance bar for hands-on self-care experiences, and a rotating selection of used and new books that reflect the diversity and curiosity of its customers.

The Grand Reopening Day takes place on Saturday, August 30, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is free and open to the public. Visitors can explore new book collections, enjoy food trucks, view new art installations, and make appointments for the Make-and-Take Fragrance Bar.

That evening, the shop will transform for Bluestockings After Dark, an 18+ event from 7 to 10 p.m., celebrating the romance and romantasy genres. The evening will feature a vendor market, themed photography, exclusive book releases, and ticketed VIP features with swag. Admission is open to the public, with VIP packages available.

The festivities continue on Sunday, August 31, with Kids' Day from 2 to 6 p.m. Families are invited to enjoy storytime, crafts, a coloring contest, chalk art, bubbles, and a hands-on Sunday Soap Lab. Children will also have the chance to meet Wimee the Robot, brought to life by local performer Kevin Kammeraad. This event is free and open to the public.

The weekend wraps up on Monday, September 1, with Labor of Love Day, which doubles as the shop's sixth anniversary celebration. The day will include a bonus book credit for essential workers, a chair massage station from Harbor Health and Massage, and a community gratitude wall. Admission is free and open to all.

"We've designed this space for more conversation, more creativity, and more connection," said Aimee Chipman, Owner, The Bluestocking Bookshop. "Whether someone's here for a book, a workshop, or just a quiet corner, we want them to feel like they belong here in Holland and on the Lakeshore."

With a commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and creative engagement, The Bluestocking Bookshop is ready to welcome both longtime patrons and new visitors into a space that invites everyone to stay a little longer. For more information, visit www.bluestockingbookshop.com.
