Founders Brewing Co. is partnering with Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids to raise funds and awareness for individuals and families facing cancer and grief through a series of taproom initiatives, including a limited-release beer, donation program, and fundraising event.

Through the end of March, Founders will donate $1 from every Social Impact Tap pour to Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, which provides free emotional support, education, and community for people facing cancer or coping with grief.

As part of the partnership, Founders will debut a taproom-exclusive beer, “Live From New York Lager,” in late February. The beer, named in honor of actress and comedian Gilda Radner, an original cast member of “Saturday Night Live” and inspiration behind Gilda’s Club, will be featured on Founders’ Social Impact Tap, a taproom initiative that debuts exclusive beers and donates a portion of proceeds from each pour to community partner organizations.

The collaboration will also be celebrated with a taproom fundraising event Feb. 28, featuring live music from The Brandino Extravaganza, a Weird Al cover band. Proceeds from the event will support Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids, an organization that provides such vital support to our community members impacted by cancer,” said Mallory Walters, Director of Retail Operations at Founders Brewing Co. “We look forward to bringing people together over beer and laughs to support this organization that makes such a difference for families in Grand Rapids.”
