Fulton Street Market will host its second annual fundraiser, A Night at the Market, 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday, September 18, inviting the community to celebrate and support more than a century of local food, entrepreneurship, and community connection.
This year’s event will transform the historic 1922 market into a vibrant, open-air venue featuring an exclusive culinary experience from Steadfast Private Chefs and craft beverages from Grand Vin and More or Less, along with live music by Molly and an interactive art exhibit. Guests will enjoy an evening of food, drinks and entertainment while supporting Fulton Street Market’s mission to expand food access, uplift local businesses and strengthen the local food economy.
“A Night at the Market is more than a celebration—it’s an opportunity for the community and our partners to come together and ensure the market continues to thrive for generations to come,” said Dana Eardley, Executive Director, Fulton Street Market. “Fulton Street Market has been a cornerstone of Grand Rapids for over 100 years, and we want to see it succeed for another century.”
Matt Overdevest, Owner at Steadfast Private Chefs and formerly a chef of culinary destinations such as Marcona on Lyon and Food Dance in Kalamazoo in addition to serving as a private chef for more than a decade, will return to prepare curated small plates for guests using local ingredients sourced from Fulton Street Market.
“It’s an honor and privilege to prepare a special menu for this festive evening that supports such an important Grand Rapids institution,” said Overdevest. “West Michigan is so fortunate to have a vital and thriving year-round market like Fulton Street Market, and we can’t take it for granted.”
Tickets are $100 per person, which include curated dishes from Steadfast Private Chefs, two drink tickets, and live art and music. Guests are encouraged to attend in cocktail attire.
Funds raised through A Night at the Market directly support Fulton Street Market’s core initiatives, including food access programs, support for farmers and food entrepreneurs, and the creation and implementation of community-driven events.
