Held during National Recovery Month, the 5K is a celebration of physical transformation, resilience, and the power of community.

Themed “Bridges of Impact,” this year’s event will highlight how finalists and award winners are connecting organizations, individuals and ideas to strengthen and unify the community.

She will lead all philanthropic efforts, including major donor engagement and furthering partnerships with foundations, corporations, and individual donors.

The free event will feature tours, volunteer sign-ups, children’s activities, and fall refreshments.

The open-house celebration will feature food, beverages, live music, hands-on creative activities, a photo booth, and an exhibition of work by Teen Arts + Tech alums.

Essential Service Awards categories include administrative/office worker, cleaning/housekeeping/groundskeeping, childcare, food service, government, health care/elder care, hospitality, nonprofit, retail, skilled labor and transportation.

The fundraiser specifically focuses on the completion and installation of the building’s final two stained glass rose (circular) windows.

The organization will debut its inaugural 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, followed by a free, dog-friendly public event.

The event will feature food, storytelling, and community impact as the organization celebrates its new name and renewed mission to promote food equity.

The newly created leadership role has been established to oversee all aspects of programming.

Designed to reflect the full scope of the organization’s work, this milestone reflects the growing reach of the national nonprofit, which has been transforming lives through custom-trained working dogs for more than 45 years.

The event will feature a panel of mental health professionals discussing identity, mental and emotional wellness, purpose, and passion beyond sports, as well as faith, character, and resilience for student athletes.

The 13,475 square-foot store will also serve as a drop-off center for community members looking to donate their new or gently used items.

Guests will enjoy a strolling brunch featuring local, sustainable ingredients and prepared by some of Muskegon's most beloved culinary talents.

Together they will lead a team of healthcare, business, and community leaders in advancing the Association’s mission in West Michigan and promoting health and well-being for all.

The competition, open to youth ages 10–18 nationwide, amplifies youth voices on the concept of food justice and highlights the need for a food system that is fair, ethical, humane, and equitable for all.

The goal is to build stronger relationships and create better outcomes for young children and families across Kent County.
